![]() ![]() The various beasts of the apocalypse have been considered metaphors for individuals like Emperor Nero, and more recently dictators like Stalin and Hitler have been seen as fulfillments of Revelation’s prophecy. Over the course of centuries numerous ways of looking at the Bible’s penultimate book have developed, especially surrounding when and how the world will end. He begins the book by dissecting various interpretations of Revelations apocalyptic nature. Putting XMT’s process for reading this book aside, I would like to speak a little to the content of Dr. ![]() The team supplemented our personal readings of the book with weekly book studies, which led to new insights being drawn that I had not thought of. That isn’t to say the content was watered down by any means, it was still a rich and beautiful work which I found inspiring to say the least. ![]() What I found, however, was an easily digestible book on the mass which drew heavily from the Book of Revelation. Personally, I had only ever experienced Hahn’s thoughts via podcasts such as Pints With Aquinas and was expecting a dense manuscript due to his cadence and knowledge of our Catholic faith.
